Gregg Diggs began his musical career as a club DJ, which lead to the Music Director position at WKYS-FM in Washington, D.C. with his mentor, the legendary, Donnie Simpson. In 1992, he was promoted to Assistant Program Director and received “Music Director of the Year” awards from both Urban Network and Impact magazines.
In 1994, he began his five year tenure as the Director of Music Video Programming for Black Entertainment Television. His responsibilities included selecting and programming all of the music videos aired on BET and booking all celebrity interviews and performances for the network.
He was directly responsible for the video exposure that lead to the success of such musical artists as Usher, Brandy, Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, Montell Jordan, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Destiny’s Child, Outkast, Notorious BIG, P. Diddy, Missy Elliott, Ginuwine, Monica, Kirk Franklin and many more.
The Source Magazine ranked Gregg Diggs as the #7 most powerful person in its 1996 issue of the “Top 30 Most Powerful People In Hip Hop”. The magazine also ranked him #6 most powerful in its 1997 and 1998 issues.
In 2001, he became one of the pioneering programmers in the burgeoning satellite radio industry. He was hired as Program Director for NGOMA, the African music channel on XM Satellite Radio.
Diggs was also appointed Program Director for POTION 203, the Urban AC channel heard on the WorldSpace Satellite Radio Network, which airs
in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
This songwriter, producer, and music publisher is also a member of ASCAP and NARAS, the Grammy Association.

Candy Shannon's media career of more than three decades began in her home town, Detroit, Michigan. After college at Michigan State University, her broadcasting career started out in the TV newsroom of WXYZ, Channel 7, an ABC-owned station. Her experience includes disc jockey, radio management, newscaster, TV host, TV news writer/producer, commercial voice-overs and narration.
Candy has had a long history of working with radio and television in Washington, DC. She was co-host for ten years on WUSA, Channel 9’s popular “Music Video Connection.” She was the first full-time female voice at DC's WKYS – 93.9FM. After working as part of the team that took WKYS to number one in the Washington market, Candy joined WHUR – 96.3FM. From 'HUR, she moved on to public radio as Program Director of the now defunct WDCU – 90.1FM, “Jazz 90” at the University of the District of Columbia.
Today Candy mixes her time between Potion 203 at World Space, “Friday Morning Jazz” on wpfw.org and WPFW – 89.3FM, and teaching radio at Howard University. She has a saxophone-playing teen-age son, a hard-working husband, 2 cats, a very large music collection, and a library card that gets regular use.

Radio Veteran, Kathy Brown is the Operations Manager of programming for WMMJ & WKYS. The two powerhouse stations have staked claim to their respective number one slots for the past five years. As one of the most respected and recognizable Program Directors in the industry, Brown joined Radio One in 1996.
She worked at WWIN-FM in Baltimore where she sky-rocketed the station to number. Before working at Radio One, Brown was the morning show host and Program Director for WMVP/WMCS in Milwaukee. The award winning Brown was Milwaukee’s first African-American female Program Director.
She is known to the Washington, D.C. area listeners for her dedication to “play the hits.” Brown created the “30 and Over Club Card”, which has swelled to an impressive membership of 700-thousand.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from Illinois State University. Brown resides in Bowie, Maryland.
